Much like going to school or an amusement park for the first time, the first visit to the dentist office for your child is full of laughter, smiles, and prizes! Yes, you read that correctly. Gone are the days of being fearful of visiting the dentist. From the moment your child enters our Alpharetta pediatric dental office, they are greeted by a giant fish aquarium that instantly captures their attention and begins to calm any nerves that may be present. Soon the kid-friendly movie playing in our mountain top space located adjacent to the fish tank will peak their attention and off they go exploring the new-found adventure land.Open Hygiene Bay

Not long after your arrival, our bubbly hygiene assistant will welcome your child and accompany them into our clinical space where the open hygiene bay, sterilization room, and operatory are located. Now those words may sound daunting but at Dr. Leach’s pediatric dental practice in North Fulton, the fun does not stop once you walk through the door from the lobby. Each chair is equipped with a tv mounted in the ceiling where they will have the option to continue watching the movie that they started when they arrived.

Our two registered hygienists will let your child go for ‘a ride’ in the chair and perform a ‘show and tell’ skit to allow your child to become comfortable with the instruments that will be used to sparkle their teeth and protect them from cavity causing bacteria. After your child’s teeth Pediatric Dental Exam Roomhave been sparkled, they will get their take-home bag that is stuffed full of goodies including a Dr. Leach t-shirt, a new toothbrush, Dr. Leach activity packet, brushing timer, and MORE! But the prizes don’t stop there…

Following our registered hygienists completing the sparkling of teeth, Dr. Leach will examine your child’s tooth and gum formation and note any areas of concern. The kid’s favorite part is next. Each patient will receive 2 tokens to use on our prize wall; how fun! While your child is busy selecting their prizes (unicorns, dinosaurs, bunnies, puppies, bouncy balls, and more), you and Dr. Leach will discuss your child’s oral health and best practices to maintain proper oral upkeep.

U

U stands for Understanding. At our Alpharetta, GA pediatric dental office, we understand that visiting the dentist might be a little scary at first. It’s a new place with funny looking lights and instruments that are used in your mouth. Dr. Leach works wonders with all patients by taking the time to get to know them, answer any questions that they might have, and meeting them where they are developmentally. It is not out-of-the-ordinary to see either Dr. Leach or one of our two registered pediatric hygienists playing video games with the kids in the Treehouse or the Den.

N

N stands for Neat. Everywhere you look around our office there are elements that were included to combat the stereotype of dental offices. Dr. Leach selected an outdoor lodge theme to create a space that allows both the patient and their parents to relax and escape everyday life for a short period. Our parents have massage chairs and a coffee bar dedicated to their enjoyment

When you choose a children’s dentist who is dedicated to providing conservative treatment with the best interest of the patient in mind, the whole dynamic changes. Dr. Leach has dedicated his career as a pediatric dentist to educating his local community and bringing dental health knowledge to every child. His team will visit local preschools throughout the year for Tooth Talks where they will touch on the most common topics such as brushing, diet, flossing, and what it is like to visit the dentist.
