The Kindness Campaign
Here at Michael J. Leach, D.D.S. Pediatric Dentistry, much like most of you all, have so much to be thankful for this time of year! With this in mind we are launching The Kindness Campaign.
Every month our Alpharetta pediatric dental team will release a monthly challenge of how you can spread kindness both to those close to you and those that you may not have met yet!
This month, Team Leach challenges you to write a letter/card for a member of the military, a neighbor, or for nursing home residents. Added challenge, take a photo of you creating or delivering your letter/card and send it to us to spotlight!
Letters to Military
Receiving a simple letter expressing gratitude and joyfulness can mean the world to a member of our armed forces. During this season of thankfulness, extend your reach a little farther by writing a letter to a member of our military!
We have designed a templated letter that you can easily print off and have your child write their thoughts on. Keep in mind these helpful hints that SupportTheTroops.com released when crafting your letter:
- Be positive. They are meant to uplift and encourage.
- Be thankful. Be sure to communicate your appreciation for the soldiers’ sacrifices and dedication to us and our country.
- Be respectful. These women and men have earned it more than most of us!
- Be kind. Remember most of us have never and will probably never have to endure the difficulties that these soldiers have experienced.
- Be encouraging.
- DO NOT include your email or mailing address
- DO NOT use your last name
- Leave them unsealed for inspection or they won’t go
Choose either a color copy or a black and white version to print out for your child to write their letter on!
Cards for Nursing Homes
Help bring a smile to an elderly person during this holiday season. Get a group of friends together and decorate a handful of cards to deliver to a nursing home close to you.
Take advantage of one of the templated cards that we have compiled or make your own! No matter how you make it, they are guaranteed to LOVE it!
Click either design below to download and print out a card to color in; don’t forget to write a quick message on the back.
Cards for neighbors
Spreading cheer around your neighborhood is perhaps one of the easiest ways to be involved in our Kindness Campaign. If you want to take it to the next level, deliver some goodies alongside the letter.
Never waste an opportunity to create a new relationship with someone. Click the card below to print a copy.
Check back next month to see what kindness challenge we have for the Christmas spirit!
